Recently, DxOMark, a well-known mobile phone evaluation organization, announced Huawei‘s P40 Pro screen performance, which was as high as 85 points.
With regard to the screen, a 6.58 inch OLED screen (the screen proportion is about 91.6%) was applied in Huawei P40 Pro, the resolution is 1200 x 2640, the refresh rate is 90hz, and the aspect ratio is 19.8:9, about 441 PPI.
In terms of advantages, Huawei P40 Pro shows pleasant and accurate color rendering in images and excellent motion presentation, especially in frame loss performance and motion fuzzy control. Also the brightness level is suitable for reading at night.
In the matter of disadvantages, the touch accuracy of Huawei P40 Pro‘s screen, especially the bottom corner, is poor. In addition to low light conditions, its screen brightness is low indoor and outdoor, and the readability needs to be improved. There still be a great space for the video aspect to make in the process, especially the brightness and gamma management.
Therefore, DxOMark draws the following conclusion for the screen test of Huawei P40 Pro.
Although Huawei P40 Pro can control motion well and the overall color is acceptable, these advantages may not be enough to make up for the problems of aliasing artifacts, touch accuracy and smoothness of the phone, especially the brightness setting of the phone is darker than the general default brightness.
Insufficient screen brightness affects the readability of acreens indoor and outdoor, and it will bring an critical influence on the score of the mobile phone.
